PHOENICIA. Tyre. 126/5 BC-AD 65/6. Half Shekel (Silver, 21 mm, 6.85 g, 1 h), CY 144 = AD 18/19. Laureate head of Melkart to right, lion skin tied around neck. Rev. TYPOY IEP[AΣ] KAI AΣYΛOY Eagle standing left on prow with palm frond behind; in field to left, PMΔ above club; to right, KP above monogram of MPE; between the eagle's legs, 𐤁 (B in Punic). DCA Tyre 857 (S). HGC 10, 358. RPC I 4689. Lightly toned. Some scratches and flan faults, otherwise, very fine.
